Laugh Sis Laugh | Daily Devotional

A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 12:22

Whenโ€™s the last time you truly laughed, like from deep down, that belly laugh? Like when did tears stream down your face and your tummy began to cramp from laughing so hard? Thatโ€™s that good medicine! If you havenโ€™t in a while, I urge you to laugh, laugh at yourself, and laugh at cute babies or animals! Laugh at how great God has been despite your slips of doubt and fear. I laugh at myself a lot, especially when I let doubt creep in and God is like, you know how I operate and He shows me and I am like yes God you are so right!ย

Laughing reminds us that we do not have to worry about a thing, was that Stevie? God is standing on our side though! Even a chuckle or a grin on your face is healing. As believers, we can let go. We do not have to stress or feel like we need to be in control. Many believers have lost that child-like faith that causes us to become brittle and unstable!ย

A broken spirit, is someone that has a spirit of defeat, one that has set their eyes on things of this world and not above, they experience dry bones. They are weak. Isnโ€™t it wild how our attitude, our mental and spiritual state will affect our body? God doesnโ€™t want us to feel weak and defeated, He is the King, the Conqueror, and we are His children so we get to experience winning, and complete joy! He will fill your mouth with laughing and your lips with rejoicing Job 8:21.ย

I dare you to laugh at those situations that seem impossible. Laugh at all the nos and rejections. Laugh at whatever is trying to still your joy! Our Father is our complete joy and nobody can take that away, and donโ€™t give it away either!

So laugh sis laugh
