Jennifer Patterson, She Is Me Friday Feature

It is time to celebrate!!! Many people fly under the radar and of course, you have those that are the radar lol! But I want to celebrate people who are serving God in their everyday lives! The She Is Me Friday feature is all about honoring women who Sit At His Feet. These women aren’t the ones that say, “Pick Me” because they want to give all the glory to God. Let me introduce Jennifer Patterson! Nominate a woman by sending them this link send them this link!

Jennifer Patterson

Greetings Jennifer Patterson, tell me a little about yourself…

I never know how to speak about myself lol. I am a mom, a follower of Christ, and a recent content creator. I have resided in Texas since 2017. I was raised in Arkansas and moved to Minnesota when I was 18. Raised my 2 daughters there until 2017. I am a Woman of Faith who believes in whole deliverance.

What are some of the roles you have and how do you balance it all?

I am an empty nester so my many roles are no longer. Right now my balance is just keeping up with my current schedule. Praying, Posting content, posting to my Facebook group Organized by Jโ™ก, and gigs when they are available.

How has your relationship with Christ influenced the way you approach your roles…

I try to focus on Christ first thing in the morning before I do anything else. Some days are more successful than others. I have come to learn that putting him first makes everything else come together the way he intended for it to work for my good.

What are some life lessons you’ve learned through juggling your different hats?

Wow, I would say being patient with myself. If I want anything done right to my standards I should do it myself. Handle what I can handle give the rest to God.

Can you share a particularly challenging moment in your journey and how your faith sustained you through it?

Healing from Rape and Incest has been one of my biggest challenges. Once I started digging deeper into being whole I learned that only my relationship with The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit were going to make it possible. If there was no relationship I would never be whole by Faith.. faith allows me to know that although I may not see it, feel it, taste it, touch it, smell it, I know my wholeness is there because of Christ dying for me. Therefore I am whole because Christ made me whole through his resurrection..

In what ways do you incorporate your faith into your everyday life and interactions?

Walking in that faith. Not looking at how it looks but speaking about how it shall go and unfold in my life.

How do you seek to serve and minister to others in your daily life?

If I am being honest I used to until I learned that right now in this part of my life, I need to be the best version of myself, so my servitude is towards my wholeness. Does that mean that I don’t minister to others no because God allows sending someone.

How do you handle moments of doubt or uncertainty in your faith journey?

I try not to sit in the doubt or uncertainty. I play Worship music, allow it to minister to me, then I pray, and follow that up with scriptures that come to my heart. When I speak them out loud it gives me the blessed assurance that I am who God says I am.

Can you share a specific instance where you felt God’s guidance or presence in your life, especially with one of your roles?

In April 2023 I was working for Target. I was going into my 5th year with them but all of 2022 I felt like it was killing me physically. I had been asking the Holy Spirit regularly can I go is it time. I keep getting the same answer you will know when. I never try to move out of disobedience. Well in April I had my yearly review. In the review, it was revealed to me that they had cut my usual raise in half. I was so upset. Because what that said to me was I didn’t fulfill my duties or tasks. I came home and had a conversation with one of my daughters. Then I looked up the number 32 because the raise was for 32 cents. Prophetically it meant the assignment was complete, prepared, or made ready. That was my answer. I wrote my resignation and never looked back. Has it been a challenge yes even with trying to apply with other companies. No answer, no replies, so I decided to use some of my God-given talents that God gifted me. Now I go into homes and revamp their spaces. God is doing it.

What encouragement would you offer to other women who may be struggling to find balance or purpose in their multiple roles?

Seek the Holy Spirit through prayer, reading the word, really listening, and positioning yourself for his answer.

How do you prioritize self-care and spiritual nourishment amidst your busy schedule?

Still working on this one. Somedays are easier than others. Ask me this a few months from now because I just started self-care.

Can you share a piece of wisdom or a Bible verse that has been particularly impactful for you in your journey?

Psalm 23 read the whole Psalm and just listen as you read it, speak it, it has a way of really allowing you to trust the Father because he is your Shepherd.

What is your go-to worship song?

Reaping What We Sow: Haggai Calls to Prioritize God’s Kingdom

Studying Haggai made me reflect on making sure I prioritize God’s Kingdom instead of what I can do with my own power and knowledge. In the scriptures, Haggai prioritized their luxury homes while the Lord’s temple lay in ruins. This is 18 years after returning to the Holy Land out of exile. These people were…
