30 Habits That Make You A Better Person

I spent time reflecting on things that I did that helped to make me a better person. These aren’t your typical wake-up and pray habits, these are character-building habits that go deep into your mind and soul. What you put in will come out. Here are 30 Habits that made me a better person and I think will help you as well.

30 Habits That Make Me A Better Person

  1. Giving grace daily to people and yourself
  2. Don’t allow yourself to sit in the story that you are making up in your head
  3. Serve people without expecting anything
  4. When interacting with people that have disabilities or special needs, engage with them how you would anybody else and let them correct you if they need more support
  5. Try to count your blessings, DAILY, remember how good God is and you will have so much peace and gratitude despite what’s going on around you
  6. Sit somewhere by yourself decompressing before going to your next appointment or place that you need to go.
  7. Learn to let things go, let them be there for their season and take all the great stuff from it but then you gotta move on
  8. Understanding that my plans may not be the best and let God take over
  9. Not letting people tarnish or paint a picture of someone or something that you haven’t personally tried to make it seem bad or not worth your time
  10. Looking for beauty all around me even in desolate places
  11. Taking photos and selfies to immortalize the moment
  12. Writing down things, events, people etc that made a profound impact on me so I can always go back and reflect.
  13. Not relying on others to give me information
  14. Learning how to research and take in different pieces of information to form my own truth about a matter
  15. Prioritizing learning- for fun or building skills
  16. Being friendly and speaking to people as they pass by
  17. Dance in the aisles of grocery stores, on the sidewalks, and wherever your heart decides to beat!
  18. Make time to create, doodle, collage, paint, build, and break….
  19. Spend time with people that love you, helps fill your tank up because the world… whew
  20. Become your best friend, no need to always have to be with people, people are draining 🙂
  21. Really go through your feelings and emotions, don’t stunt the progress for growth
