What’s My Morning Bible Routine + Vlog

A Morning Bible Routine is a must if you want to grow in your faith. Ok, not always in the morning but some time throughout your day.

Growing up in the church taught me some unhealthy ways to be a Christian. We were there 5-7 times a week, Bible study, three Sunday services, Choir Rehearsal, and other ministries. It taught me how to act Christian, which meant that the foundation was rocky, I didn’t progress to good soil. The church was messy and I dealt with church hurt. So like many people, we remove ourselves altogether. Thankfully some of the seeds had growth but didn’t last however, I can look back and remember and that is what has helped me to get tight with God.

My story with the church is a long shaky story for another time. I however have been a good ground for God to plant seeds thus the changes you have and will continue to see.

One of the things that I didn’t do fully was Bible study and that is what has grown my faith. Not bible study when you just read the book for pleasure with no deep dive, application, and prayer. I got to the student level, I allowed the Teacher to teach me and I TOOK NOTES! I just completed the book of Matthew and have been reading daily. Did you know that a habit does not take 21 days to form?

After realizing this, I knew that if I really wanted change, I would have to implement something daily so that it can become part of my lifestyle. With that being said, I have to read and study the bible daily. I needed a morning bible routine.

Reading and studying the Bible not only helps me but protects others from me if you get what I mean. I am calmer, I react slower, I process, and am patient. That is a beautiful thing. Consistency for me has been a driving force for what I want to accomplish so I have been doing challenges. Some stick some fall off. The ones that stick show me what I want out of life, the things I deem as the top priority. Having a morning Bible routine has helped my prioritize my relationship with Christ.

It has become so influential in my life that my whole content-creator lifestyle is faith-based. I have been making devotionals, and worksheets, sharing deep words about the scriptures, and living out loud for Christ.

The Creative Wellness Project is my platform for building a community around faith, art, and journal. I started a private community on Patreon and Facebook for people to fellowship, create, and journal. In fact, we are starting a challenge on February 1, 2023, 100 Days Less Hustle, More Jesus where it is a creative journaling bible study! Join us here.

My Tools for my Morning Bible Routine

BIBLE: She Reads Truth Woman’s Study Bible
I love this bible, it has study plans, devotionals, maps, context/history, and more.

Journals– I love S.O.A.P style journals, I made this one but you can use a regular notebook

Online Bible Commentary- Enduring Word has been amazing!!!!

Bible Study Plan- I realized how lost I was, randomly flipping through the bible to see what spoke to me lol. Not ideal at all. Having a plan is AMAZING! The book Welcome To Your Bible is a great way to get into your bible.

PENS/MARKERS- I like my notes to be vibrant and when I get creative, having multiple colors makes it pop! My favorites, LePen, Stabilo, and TomBow.

Basket- I had my things all over the place and needed to get organized. I found this cute basket at PopShelf in Lewisville but any basket will do!

Books I am Reading- Balance by Toure Roberts and Upset the World by Tim Ross which is out of print.
