War Binder Headquarters: Resources, Themes, and More

This post will be updated periodically to give you more resources for your War Binder so be sure to bookmark it!

I participated in a fast that my boyfriend created and one of the things we had to do was create something. The first three days was total surrender, liquid fast, no tv, no fun stuff, deep prayer, reading, and meditation. During those days I started reading Fervent by Priscilla Shirer which led me to figure out what I wanted to create. A WAR BINDER! I got so excited yall. I thought of the supplies I needed and started buying them so that on day 4,5,and 6 I would create my war binder. I watched many videos, found many websites, and watched tutorials. I was ready! Check out my video below! But I wanted to share with you resources as well, so that I can encourage you to create one as well.

I have a prayer life but one of the things I wanted to really strengthen was praying the verses and what better way to do that than writing the verses, understanding the verses and creating prayers. I really want my prayers to be in alignment with God’s word and not just saying the same ole prayer that has little power. I also wanted to be intentional with praying for others and keeping track. So I have added the war binder to my morning and evening routine.

My morning routine consists of bible study that last between 1.5-3 hours and I read many chapters because I am going through the Bible in 52 weeks. IT GOES FAST, so I keep my war binder right next to me and jot down verses that pertain to my different sections. My evening routine consists on me in reflection mode and gratitude. I go over the prayers or write new prayers.

It has only been a week and have seen so much growth.

10 Reasons to Create a War Binder

  1. Spiritual Connection: God wants us to go deep, truly abide and having a war or prayer binder allows us to really slow down our thinking, our moving and it gives time for God to speak to us and we can write that down!
  2. Organization: It kinda becomes your go to guide for your thoughts, prayers, and reflections. You have to reread! It is so beneficial. We have a million thoughts a day so having an organized binder for your prayer life will be of great use!
  3. Personalized Reflection: You can use the binder to reflect on your personal growth, goals, and challenges. Documenting your thoughts and experiences allows for self-reflection and introspection.
  4. Goal Setting: It can be a place to set spiritual and personal goals, whether they are related to your faith, personal development, or other aspects of your life.
  5. Versatility: A prayer or war binder can be adapted to suit your individual needs. Like, what I am praying on this year, may look totally different next year. So I can just add a new tab. You can include sections for prayers, scripture, quotes, gratitude, and any other elements that resonate with you.
  6. Creative Expression: Decorating and personalizing your binder allows for creative expression. Adding colors, images, and artistic elements can make the experience more enjoyable and meaningful.
  7. Daily Routine: Incorporating your binder into your daily routine can serve as a reminder to take time for prayer, meditation, or self-reflection. It can become a valuable part of your spiritual practice.
  8. Record of Blessings: Use the binder to record and acknowledge the blessings and positive aspects of your life. This can be a source of inspiration during challenging times.
  9. Community and Sharing: If you’re part of a spiritual community, a prayer or war binder can be a great way to share thoughts, prayers, and experiences with others who may have similar beliefs.
  10. Stress Relief: Engaging in prayer, meditation, or reflection in your binder can serve as a stress-relief activity. It provides a designated time and space for you to unwind, find peace, and seek guidance.

Remember, the purpose and content of your prayer or war binder are entirely personal, so feel free to customize it to align with your beliefs, values, and goals.
