Sis, Go Deeper, All The Way In The Water

One thing that happens in the Spring is that it rains, A LOT! Water is hydrating, healing, cleansing, and nourishing.  It also revives, restores, and replenishes!

This month we are talking about biblical restoration! Restoring your faith in God and renewing the prayers you have given up on.

It is winter, the time when things look dead. The trees are bare, no flowers outside, and the dirt, so much dirt. Well, I guess that depends on where you are at. I am in Texas and there is a mix of bare trees and brown and green grass. Everything looked parched!

I was reading Ezekiel 47 and took a deep dive on verses 1-12. It talks about the water that flowed.

5 things that stood out to me:

  1. Ezekiel’s experience to go deeper and deeper into the water. Vs 2-5.
  2. Before entering the water, there was no life or no mention but once he returned from his deep in the water experience, he saw “a very large number of trees”. Vs 6-7
  3. In vs 8-9 when this water flows into the Dead Sea, it will be cleansed and all kinds of life will swim in it.
  4. In vs 9, this really had me praising God, it says, wherever the water goes, there will be life!!!!
  5. In vs 10-12, there will be an abundance of food and medicine.

Yall, when I tell you I threw my Bible…. I really didn’t because I have too much respect for this gift from God… but I was like this is so powerful.

This is the Living Word and I have read this maybe 20 times and as I read this as I type this, the revelation on point number 2 hit me! I was like, “So God you trying to tell me that the deeper he went, that is when things came to life?” As if we are the walking dead even when we are “churching” “giving” “serving”

The deeper we go, that is when we truly live!

So let’s think about this… as Kingdom Women, God is calling us to go deeper, and in Him, we are not only being restored but new things are blooming! Things that you had no idea was planted in you will grow when you live in the water.

This water is flowing it’s moving, it’s not a pond or even an ocean. God isn’t saying to sit and marvel at the beautiful ocean, or to dip your toes or hanging your legs over the edge. He is saying go so deep you have to swim. Soaking wet! I envisioned myself all the way in and then walking on the side just dripping and everywhere I went people saw and some even got wet. This is how He wants to and will spread the Good News! Through us! But it will be hard for us to do that if we are just dipping our toes.

Listen to this song

Life Flourishes When You Go Deeper

Let’s look at verse 9, the NLT says, There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.

That last part… whew… if you ain’t in the path of the river there is nothing but death! Many times we think we can do it on our own, but Kingdom women know where their help comes from! We drink from the Well that never runs dry. Apart from Him, we can do nothing!

Kingdom woman, sis, daughter, friend, are you sitting on the edge with your feet in toes splashing in the water? Or are in you all the way in? This is where restoration and revival happen! Not watching others swim!

As we spend this month diving into the theme of Restored Faith, I implore you to pray to God to show you how you can go deeper. We might already think we are deeper, but only God knows! Allow Him to pull His tape measure out and lead you in.
