Not only are they my relatives but I truly believe that it is important to support the black dollar. They know what they are doing and they aren’t trying to just take your money. If we continue to support our businesses we can grow as people and put power in our own hands by giving our dollar only to each other.

Reason for Nomination: I’ve been working out with SPRK for over 3 years. The trainers have the ability to make each of my training sessions challenging but rewarding. They are patient, understanding and knowledgeable trainers who provide top notch training in a one-on-one or group setting. I would never reach my fitness goals without their motivation and support.

Reason for Nomination: I have yet to have a bad experience with Sanjules. Sandra is a sweetheart. Julian is usually behind the scenes but they are both always accommodating and friendly. I recommend them all the time. Always a lot of things to choose from. Creative styles for the diva & natralista.

Reason for Nomination: The owner Brittney Stallworth started this business from her home and built it up to what’s soon to be a Million dollar 251 black owned and operated business. She loves what she does and takes every day to perfect her craft. The candles are made from soy, smell awesome and you can use he oils on your body. The owner is an awesome young woman who is excited about her product, she is a warm and inviting small business owner.

Reason for Nomination: Door Adorned Pieces are simply flawless and trend setting. They take wreath decor to the next level. Their customer service, attention to detail and finished products are epic.

Reason for Nomination: I absolutely love Tara’s writing and masterful ability to engage her readers. The characters are someone we can all relate to and you are honestly on the edge of your seat with each chapter.

Reason for Nomination: This business has been around for some years, but recently taken over by black woman named Priscilla Davis. She has decades of experience with sewing and design. She also worked in education. She is excellent in teaching the art of sewing. So many people lack this skill and she seeks to make sure that the upcoming generation gets the skills and has fun through parties and camps. She also offers private lessons for all ages. This business is new to social media platforms and could really benefit from a buzz from this initiative.

Almost two years ago she left her job as an administrative assistant with a great salary to allow time to follow this dream. She says her eyes were opened to this field when she saw this great piece of furniture, a grand, ornate armoire. She enrolled in school and realized that this field was her IT. Are you ready to support black owned business small and large? I sure am. I wrote a post on Maggie Anderson as she shopped black for a year. I was so inspired and have been doing my best to share with you black artist, business owners, authors and more. Because the biggest buying season is approaching fast, I wanted highlight many black businesses from around the world. Thing is, I am stuck in Minnesota and have a hard time finding what is out there. Black Friday is one of those days and I want to provide you with an awesome list to help you literally #BUYBLACK as well as #ShopSmallSaturday Below is the nomination form so that you can nominate a black business that you love.
