I spent time reflecting on things that I did that helped to make me a better person. These aren’t your typical wake-up and pray habits, these are character-building habits that go deep into your mind and soul. What you put in will come out. Here are 30 Habits that made me a better person and I think will help you as well.
30 Habits That Make Me A Better Person
- Giving grace daily to people and yourself
- Don’t allow yourself to sit in the story that you are making up in your head
- Serve people without expecting anything
- When interacting with people that have disabilities or special needs, engage with them how you would anybody else and let them correct you if they need more support
- Try to count your blessings, DAILY, remember how good God is and you will have so much peace and gratitude despite what’s going on around you
- Sit somewhere by yourself decompressing before going to your next appointment or place that you need to go.
- Learn to let things go, let them be there for their season and take all the great stuff from it but then you gotta move on
- Understanding that my plans may not be the best and let God take over
- Not letting people tarnish or paint a picture of someone or something that you haven’t personally tried to make it seem bad or not worth your time
- Looking for beauty all around me even in desolate places
- Taking photos and selfies to immortalize the moment
- Writing down things, events, people etc that made a profound impact on me so I can always go back and reflect.
- Not relying on others to give me information
- Learning how to research and take in different pieces of information to form my own truth about a matter
- Prioritizing learning- for fun or building skills
- Being friendly and speaking to people as they pass by
- Dance in the aisles of grocery stores, on the sidewalks, and wherever your heart decides to beat!
- Make time to create, doodle, collage, paint, build, and break….
- Spend time with people that love you, helps fill your tank up because the world… whew
- Become your best friend, no need to always have to be with people, people are draining 🙂
- Really go through your feelings and emotions, don’t stunt the progress for growth
- Live with no regrets, even if the tattoo is spelled wrong, there is a lesson in it!
- If you do not have it, don’t give it… only give what will not break you if you never get it back
- Find someone that you can really vent to without them judging you or telling your business
- Canceling things that serve no purpose to your mental and emotional well-being
- Speak up for others and support those who need it
- If they ask for a sandwich, give them a feast
- Handmade gifts made well are great timeless gifts
- Reading and listening to things that help me grow, inspire me, and encourage me
- Teach others what I find valuable
