This is a sponsored post and was given the 2016 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring to drive for a week. All opinions are my own unless otherwise noted. #DriveMazda
Hey beautiful people!
I had the opportunity to travel to Houston with my friend Njeri in the new 2016 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring. When I first received it, I was like… “Isn’t this the same car?” It wasn’t though! The last Mazda was the 2016 MAZDA3 S GRAND TOURING check out the review!
Well as usual, I get to drive it for a week as if it were my car. So I drove to work, home, lunch, grocery shopping but the real experience came when I got to drive to Houston which is approximately 229 miles. What I first noticed about the car was that it was very small, probably about the same size as my 2013 Hyundai Accent. The back seat was pretty tight, my coworkers tested it out as we went to lunch at Prince’s Lebanese Restaurant in Arlington, TX. I asked them how they felt, they did say it was pretty tight. They said I could put a small child seat back there. But they were still impressed with how it drove. It is classified as a Small Sport Utility Vehicles 4WD.
When I think of size, I thought about how I feel when driving in the DFW area, my Hyundai, I do not feel super safe but driving the 2016 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring I noticed that I had no fear. I felt safe in between large semi’s and around tight corners with cars nearly cutting me off because they love to speed. That was really refreshing to me though, when you are driving you definitely want to feel safe.
While driving to Houston and back, the car drove smoothly with ease, if I needed to quickly speed up I could, if I had to do a quick lane change I did it with no problems.
The trunk space was not too spacious but because it has a hatchback you definitely can get some things in there!
When I look for cars, I am very cautious about milage and I want a car where I am not going to have to go to the pump more than once a week. The 2016 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring does a great job with that!

I am really loving the Touchscreen System which allows you to use navigation, music, bluetooth and so much more. I bluetoothed my phone and got to listen to my Spotify playlists and youtube, but what was really cool is that it synced the titles and singers on the screen.

Overall the car is amazing, I personally would have to get a bigger car though. I think about family trips and I want the people in the back to not feel crammed.
