Private Black Educators Online? Say Less.

I recently resigned as a full-time English and Special Education Teacher to open a bookstore. It’s been a month so far and whew what a ride! The thing is, I am an educator to the core and I HAD to keep teaching somehow some way. I found a few ways to do so! I began to teach on Outschool, an online live and on-demand educational platform for kids 3-18 in all subject areas.

I decided to teach my passions and what I am good at! The cool thing though, is that there are so many private black educators and I wanted to share their classes with you!

Online learning did not start with the pandemic, in fact, my masterโ€™s degree program was all online and I loved it. Sure, the social part was missing but times have changed and educators have become pros with adding the Social part to online learning in many ways. (Grab a free coloring and activity book.)

Why online learning?

My number 1 reason is CONVENIENCE! Save money and time by logging in from the comfort of your own home or even if you are traveling and are bringing your child with you, this is a great opportunity to keep your child learning and entertained.

My second reason is that the class options are ENDLESS. Teachers are teaching what they are passionate about, whether it be reading or Fortnite, there is a class for it!

With that being said, your child could access so much with a live teacher on many different topics, while the schools do not provide such classes. Some schools are removing Art and other creative classes, which is vital for growth mentally, emotionally, physically, and more.

Your child may need to be challenged more or needs extra support, these classes can help with that. There are teachers that tutor or have an extensive semester course in a specific topic.

There are so many more benefits when it comes to taking classes virtually but I will leave it at that for now.

One thing I will promote is Black Educators and Educators of Color on Outschool.
