Hey beautiful people,
About a week ago, I had the privilege to test drive the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport for a week thanks to #Drivemitsubishi and #DriveShop and it was amazing.
When I first got the car, I was very excited because I got to cruise in this awesome crossover and explore Dallas, my new city.
I was set to go for a hike and decided to take the the Mitsubishi to this trail that I found out about in Plano. The drive was great, smooth and I felt in charge of the road. It was high enough to have a great view of the road, unlike my little Hyundai Accent. If you have driven in the DFW area you know the drivers are CRAZY and they are speed demons and will cut you off in a heart beat, when driving this car I felt so much more in control.
There were so many features that the car had that I did not get a chance to test it all out, but the few things that I did love was the Adaptive Cruise Control, Panoramic Sunroof, Touchscreen Display and the Rearview Camera.
The Adaptive Cruise Control is dope, basically when in cruise control and you get too close, the car will slow down automatically with the radar. When the car is out of your way, it will go back to your set speed. The radar also, is used for Forward Mitigation Collision which is so necessary for drivers here in Dallas. If they all had this, many cars would not have been rear-ended. The Forward Mitigation feature gives the driver signals and sounds and will begin using the emergency breaks. Fortunately, I did not have to put that into action, but is an awesome feature to have.
My favorite feature hands down is the Panoramic Sunroof, oh em geee…. So I relaxed almost every night by putting the seat all the way back and watching the stars and clouds. I am such a romantic and was like, I want to go stargazing.
The touchscreen was amazing as well, very SMART touchscreen and took me awhile before I got the hang of it. Had the navigation, the music, weather and more. I am sure I didn’t use it to its full potential but I got the idea.
My only complaint, if you will, was the space. It is a crossover which is not your full size SUV and that is fine. I actually prefer the crossover size. My issue is that I am 5’9 and the backseat was not spacious for my long legs and rumor has it that there is room for another row and that has me confused.
But my overall honest review I would give it a 9 out of 10. I loved the leather interior and overall smoothness. I felt so bougie in it and that is key! And the fuel economy option is amazing.
